Car

Chester is well connected to the UK road network, encircled by major A roads, connecting to the M53 (M56) to the North and the A41 & A51 to the South of Chester. The A55 will take you into North Wales.

Chester Road network

If you are driving into Chester consider using one of the 4 Park & Ride services as car parking is difficult if not quite expensive in and around the city centre.

If you are looking to rent a car, Europcar car hire (01244 312893) is located a few minutes from Chester train station on Brook St.

Rail

Trains arrive at Chester train station (run by Arriva) which is a 10 minute walk out from Chester at the end of Station Road. There is also a free, frequent Rail Link bus sevice operating between the city centre and the station. You’ll need your rail ticket.

Alternatively there is a Black Cab taxi rank to your left as you leave the station. If you have a car, there are two pay and display car parks. Sadly there is currently no provision for bicycle parking.

If you are looking to get to sleep right away, the Queen Hotel (Best Western) is located just over the road from the station.

Bus

Chester bus station can be found on Princess Street, just behind the Town Hall on the right.
